The current work is founded on an act of violence against the original, visually compliant surface. The first iteration established the 'jaws'—deep vertical grooves carved into the modeling paste. The major rework (2023-2025) then began in earnest: these grooves were activated by filling them with coffee grounds and sealing them with gesso. This was followed by the construction of the central clay relief, the key, the buttons, and the lower glue gun mass, transforming the surface into a badge of persistent maintenance.

The central clay relief is not three separate organs but one life-site operating simultaneously. The ear stands against the arrogance of power that only listens to flattery, refusing to be sacrificed to external, manipulative noise. The nostril demands economic autonomy—the space to exist without the mathematics of scarcity dominating every thought, allowing ascent to self-actualization. It insists on penetrating the slow suffocation of survival disguised as life. The throat insists on being the channel for naming injustice as injustice, the instrument of dignity that rejects the gag of forced silence, maintaining the clarity required for public discourse.
